Pegasus represents the spirit of victory and triumph rising out of impossible odds. Greek mythology holds that when Perseus beheaded Medusa, the Gorgon monster with writhing serpents for hair, Pegasus sprang out of Medusas’ severed neck. From the heroic act comes opportunity and healing, for wherever Pegasus’ hoof touches down, a well springs forth, and the Muses gather to create culture.
